Welcome

Rachel Kirson is a NY & NJ state licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She specializes in evaluating and diagnosing pediatric speech-language disorders. Rachel treats preschool and school age children with a variety of developmental delays. Her areas of expertise include articulation and phonological disorders, oral-motor difficulties and childhood apraxia of speech, expressive and receptive language delays, pragmatic/socialization difficulties, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She believes collaboration and carry-over with parents and other school professionals ensures success and generalization of a child’s skills. Through a combination of evidence-based therapy techniques, structured activities, and free play, Rachel makes speech therapy effective and fun!

Consultations

Wondering if your child’s speech and/or language skills are typical? Is your child progressing at the same rate as their peers? Through Virtual and In-person Consultations, Rachel provides families with information on speech-language development and strategies to practice within the home.


Assessments

To best meet most families’ needs, Rachel offer two types of assessments. Reach out to learn more about Informal Assessments and Full-Battery Evaluations.


Therapy Sessions

45-minute and 60-minute Speech-Language Therapy sessions can be provided both within the child’s home, daycare, and preschool, as well as remotely via Zoom. Sessions include carry-over activities, collaboration with school staff, and parent training.
